Why do I need skydiving insurance?
There’s nothing quite like the adrenaline rush and freedom of skydiving, but even the most stringent safety measures don’t guarantee your protection from accidents. Experienced skydiving instructors with thousands of jumps under their belt still need to manage the risks associated with their sport by taking out appropriate cover – especially when ensuring another’s safety on a tandem jump.
Insure4Sport’s specialist skydiving instructor insurance lets skydiving coaches and instructors tailor their cover. So, whether you require Public Liability, Personal Accident or Loss of Earnings protection – we will make sure you have the right insurance for every jump.
What does skydiving instructor insurance cover?
Public Liability cover against injury or property damage: As a skydiving instructor you need Public Liability, given the potential risks of your profession.
With even the simplest jump involving many risks, you need to ensure you’re fully protected against third party claims for injury or property damage. It only takes one mishap during an instructional jump, for someone in your care to get badly injured.
- With Insure4Sport, you can get Public Liability cover worth from £1 million up to £10 million.
- This includes up to £1 million of Professional Indemnity cover, protecting you from any problems arising from the skydiving advice you give.
Personal Accident cover if you require treatment: Freefalling thousands of feet through the air is one of the most exciting experiences imaginable, but there is always a risk of sustaining injury on the way down, particularly on landing. Insure4Sport’s Personal Accident cover will make sure the right protection is in place, should you be injured during a jump.
- With Insure4Sport, you can get from £10,000 to £50,000 worth of Personal Accident cover.
- If you couldn’t work for long periods due to your injuries, our Loss of Earnings cover provides you with up to £750 a week of compensation for up to 52 weeks.
Compensation for equipment repairs and replacements: Skydiving requires a great deal of expensive equipment, all of which is vulnerable to damage or theft throughout the course of a jump. Insure4Sport’s Equipment cover makes sure you’re covered for the cost of repairs or replacements if your kit is lost, stolen or damaged.
- Cover your equipment against loss, theft or damage for £250 worth of equipment.
- As long as your equipment was less than a year old and you bought it from new, we’ll replace it New-for-Old. We will cover repairs and replacements up to the amount stated in your Insurance Schedule.
