Specialist sports insurance for:
Ironman Triathlon Coaches & Instructors
Ironman triathlons are one of the most physically and mentally demanding sports activities, and many people seek the advice of experts and professionals to help train them so they’re ready to compete. As an Ironman triathlon coach you’ll be giving advice and tips and pushing clients to their limit to help them reach their goal. It’s therefore important to have insurance in place protect yourself if something goes wrong and a client injures themselves following your guidance.
Why do I need sports coach insurance?
Our specialist sports coach insurance has been designed to provide protection from the risks that come with the job. Whether you coach full-time, part-time or have a temporary contract there is always a risk of possible liability claims arising following incorrect advice or guidance given. We can also cover damage, loss or theft of any equipment you may use whilst coaching, plus we offer personal accident and loss of earnings cover should you injure yourself whilst coaching and be unfit to continue working for a period of time.
Take a look at the following examples of why every coach and instructor should have specialist insurance:
- During a session a player or student damages equipment at a venue you are using.
- A specific action you teach is brought into question if a client suffers an injury resulting from your advice or instruction.
- You become injured during a coaching session which means you can’t work (and earn) for a period of time.
- You injure yourself during a coaching session and require physio treatment.
- Your sports equipment needed to coach or teach is damaged, lost or stolen.
- One of your employees seriously injures themselves during a coaching drill and claims compensation from you.
Public Liability Insurance covers you for third party injury or damage to property.
Professional Indemnity Insurance protects you from legal action following advice given.
