Specialist weightlifting and powerlifting insurance through Insure4Sport
Weightlifting and powerlifting are sports which, by design, push participants to the limits of what their bodies can achieve. As exciting as powerlifting and weightlifting can be, though, they are not without risks. The last thing you want to happen while training or competing is to suffer a nasty injury. That’s why, if you lift weights regularly, either at home or in the gym, you may want to consider specialist weightlifting and powerlifting insurance.

Types of weightlifting insurance
If you decide to take out a weightlifting insurance policy through Insure4Sport, there are three cover types available for you to choose from:
- Weightlifting insurance: This option is tailored to suit individuals participating in weightlifting and includes cover such as personal accident and weightlifting equipment.
- Weightlifting team insurance: If you are part of a weightlifting team, this option allows you to extend the level of cover to include all team members.
- Weightlifting coach insurance: To be eligible for weightlifting coach insurance, you must have a relevant accreditation from an appropriate governing body, such as British Weight Lifting (BWL). If you're a weightlifting coach, the same cover applies as a standard weightlifting or team policy, but with the addition of professional indemnity and employers' liability cover.
