Spinning can be one of the most fun and high-intensity workouts, but such intensity can carry an element of risk. Spin classes push your body to its limits, so accidents and injuries can happen, whether you’re leading a group class or just taking part in one.

Do I need spinning insurance?

Spinning insurance is not a legal requirement in the UK. However, you must have at least Employers’ Liability insurance if you run a spin class or coaching business that employs members of staff.

Different gyms and sports centres may also set their own individual requirements. For example, some venues may require proof of your insurance before letting you work or take classes there, so always double-check the rules specific to your chosen spin class location.
