Types of netball insurance
Netball insurance: Designed for amateur individual netballers, this option can include Personal Accident, Public Liability and Equipment cover.
Netball coach insurance: This option is available to netball coaches with accreditation from the appropriate governing body, such as England Netball. This policy can include the same options available with an individual netball policy, with the addition of Public Liability with Professional Indemnity and Employers’ Liability cover.
Netball team insurance: Designed for netball teams looking to insure a group of people with the same level of financial protection.
What does netball insurance cover?
Netball insurance
- Public Liability – up to £10m for accidental bodily injury to a third party (and damages in respect of such) and accidental damage to third-party property
- Personal Accident – covers accidental injury or death, dental treatment, and more following a netball related accident
- Loss of earnings – up to £750 per week for up to 52 weeks. An excess of 14 days applies
- Theft, loss and damage to netball equipment up to £50k
- Hospitalisation compensation – if you are admitted as an in-patient for more than 24 hours
- Worldwide cover
- Any claims not arising from netball-based activities
- Any liability for damage to property belonging to you or in your care (excluding premises and other property you temporarily occupy for netball activities)
- Loss or theft of any netball equipment left unattended unless there is evidence of forced entry and/or exit to or from any premises, changing room, or any securely locked locker or similar places of storage
- Any claims for netball equipment without evidence of ownership
- Theft, loss or damage to mobile phones
