Types of hockey insurance

If you choose to take out a hockey insurance policy through Insure4Sport, there are three cover options available:

Hockey insurance: This option best suits hockey players and includes hockey equipment, Personal Accident, and Public Liability cover.

Hockey coach insurance: If you want the level of cover offered to hockey coaches, you must have an appropriate qualification from a relevant sport governing body. Hockey coach insurance through Insure4Sport can provide the same cover offered in a standard hockey insurance policy, but with the addition of Employers’ Liability and Public Liability with Professional Indemnity cover.

Hockey team insurance: If you participate in a hockey team, you can extend your cover to include all team members.

Does travel insurance cover ice hockey?

Due to the fact that ice hockey is a full-contact sport, most standard travel insurance policies won’t cover playing ice hockey abroad unless you include a winter sports add-on at an additional cost.

This is why you may want to consider getting specialist ice hockey insurance through Insure4Sport which includes optional Worldwide cover. This way, you’ll have financial protection in place should you experience an accident on the ice or if your equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen.

Specialist ice hockey insurance through Insure4Sport also includes Public Liability and Loss of Earnings cover, which you may not be able to get from a standard travel insurance policy.
