Why consider football insurance?
No matter if you’re training by yourself, playing as part of a team or coaching a football session, specialist football insurance helps provide peace of mind should something go wrong.
For example, insurance for footballers through Insure4Sport can help if you were injured during a football game or training session, or if you were to injure another player on the pitch or damage property while playing.
Football team insurance can provide protection for team members if they were to become injured while travelling to participate in a match and football coach insurance provides cover if someone was to make a claim after being injured following your coaching advice.
As a coach, specialist football insurance also helps financially protect you from employees making a claim against if they were to sustain an injury or illness while working for you.

A football coach may also have other employees, whereby they would need, by law, Employers’ Liability insurance.

Football clubs are not legally required to have Public Liability insurance. However, it is something they may want to consider ensuring their players and coaches are protected if any claims were made against them.
