Types of cheerleading insurance
If you decide to get a cheerleading insurance policy through Insure4Sport, there are several options available to you:
Cheerleading insurance: This cover option is tailored to suit individuals participating in cheerleading and includes Personal Accident, Third-Party Liability and equipment cover.
Cheerleading coach insurance: Cheerleading coach insurance includes all options available within an individual cheerleading insurance policy, but with the addition of Professional Indemnity and Employers’ Liability cover. To be eligible for cheerleading coach insurance, you must be qualified to the level of performance being instructed.
Cheerleading team insurance: Suited to cheerleading teams or groups who perform and train together and want collective cover for accidents and injuries.
What does cheerleading insurance cover?
Cheerleading Insurance (incl. teams)
- Public Liability – up to £10m for accidental bodily injury to a third party (and damages in respect of such) and accidental damage to third-party property
- Personal Accident – covers accidental injury or death, dental treatment, and more following a cheerleading accident
- Loss of Earnings – up to £750 per week for up to 52 weeks. An excess of 14 days applies
- Theft, loss and damage to cheerleading equipment
- Hospitalisation compensation – if you are admitted as an in-patient for more than 24 hours
- Worldwide cover
- Any claims not arising from cheerleading
- Any liability for damage to property belonging to you or in your care (excluding premises and other property you temporarily occupy for the purpose of cheerleading)
- Loss or theft of any cheerleading equipment left unattended unless there is evidence of forced entry and/or exit to or from any premises, changing room, or any securely locked locker or similar places of storage
- Any claims for cheerleading equipment where you cannot provide evidence of ownership
- Theft, loss or damage to mobile phones

Cheerleading insurance for competitions
