Types of boxing insurance
When taking out a specialist boxing insurance policy through Insure4Sport, there are two options available to you:
Boxing insurance: This option is tailored to suit individuals participating in boxing and includes cover such as personal accident and boxing equipment cover.
Boxing coach insurance: To be eligible for boxing coach insurance, you must be qualified for the level you are coaching and comply with the standards set by the appropriate governing body, such as England Boxing. Boxing coach insurance offers the same cover options as a standard boxing insurance policy, but with the addition of Professional Indemnity and Employers' Liability cover.

Why consider specialist boxing insurance?
The physical nature of boxing means you could be at risk of injuring yourself or another person. With specialist boxing insurance through Insure4Sport, you can get cover for amateur boxers and coaches alike, as even the most experienced practitioners can sustain a serious injury, no matter how many precautions are taken.
For example, boxing insurance through Insure4Sport can help cover some or all of the costs if you were to injure a third party or suffer a serious injury yourself and become unable to work. With boxing coach insurance, you can also get additional cover for if a student or employee decides to make a claim against you for an accident or injury.
Do I need insurance to run a boxing event?
Although having boxing insurance in place is not a legal requirement, some venues may need you to have public liability insurance as a minimum if you’re hosting an amateur boxing event.
Boxing event insurance not only offers Public Liability cover, but you can also get Employer's Liability cover if you're employing staff for the event. This is a legal requirement for anyone that employs staff.
If you’re participating in a white collar or charity boxing event, you can get white collar boxing insurance through Insure4Sport.
Please note: You must have facilities cover for your boxing gym for boxing events to be covered under your policy.
What types of boxing can I get cover for?
Insurance through Insure4Sport can provide cover for all forms of boxing (including kickboxing insurance) as long as you are not participating professionally.
If you participate in more than one form of martial arts, we also offer cover for Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, and more. To see the full list of martial arts we cover, visit our martial arts insurance page.
