Why consider cycle insurance?
Cycling is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, but accidents can happen when you’re out exploring. You could accidentally collide with another cyclist on the road, leading to a claim for injuries caused to the cyclist, or find your bike helmet has been stolen from home.
Specialist cycle insurance through Insure4Sport, including BMX insurance for those who enjoy tricks and dirt tracks, can help provide financial protection in these situations.
For cycling instructors, there’s also a risk of third-party claims if a client is injured during a session. Cycling insurance could help financially protect your business against the cost of these claims. You may also find these health and safety tips for sports coaches helpful.
FREE multi-sports cover
Teach more than just cycling lessons? Whether it’s indoor cycling, yoga, or Pilates, you can benefit from free multi-sports cover when you take out insurance for more than one activity.

Cycling insurance isn’t a legal requirement, whether you’re a casual rider or enjoy coaching others. However, you may want to consider it for financial protection if something goes wrong—for example, to cover loss of earnings if you’re injured while cycling, or damage to your cycling related equipment.
Enjoy other activities or sports alongside cycling? We arrange insurance for multiple outdoor and adventure sports.

The amount you’ll pay for a cycling insurance policy through Insure4Sport depends on the type and level of cover you select. You can get a quick online quote to learn the cost of your cover.

Public liability cover can help protect you financially if a third party claims for injury or property damage. For example, if you accidentally run into another cyclist on a trail and cause injury or damage to their bike, this cover could help with the associated costs.
